June 17th through 19th's Camping and Mountain Biking trip to the Mendocino Coast

$500.00

*If you are interested in this camp and don’t have a history of riding with Mulholland Mountain Biking, please reach out to Emile at emilemulholland@gmail.com to see if this will be appropriate for your rider this summer.

For this three day, two night trip we will be traveling to the coast of Mendocino County for some beautiful, flowy single track mountain biking and fun camping at Jughandle Creek Farm campground. This area has an extensive network of super fun trails and many of them were built by and for mountain bikers.

This trip inlcudes a lot of single track riding with some steep downhill and uphill sections. The trails that we ride are less challenging than the trails that we ride in our Sierra camps. They include some challenging steep ups and downs but they are mostly rated as blue and green on Trailforks.

We will be traveling in our van and riding in remote areas that are further than normal from medical assistance. For these reasons, we consider our camping trips to be higher risk than our normal after school bike rides. To us, the experience of riding and exploring in these beautiful remote forests overcomes the downside of it’s increased risk. If you are interested in this camp but have questions or concerns, please reach out to Emile at emilemulholland@gmail.com

Also, please note that we will be spending time traveling together in a van during this camp. Traveling together in the van gives this camp a higher risk of covid-19 transmission than our day camps or after school rides. To help decrease our risk, we ask that all participants test for Covid within 48 hours of our camp.

All participants will need to bring clothes for three days of camping and riding, their bike, their riding gear, biking food, a tent, a sleeping bag, a sleeping pad, a pillow, a toiletry kit, a flashlight and or lantern, eating utensils (including a plate, a bowl, a cup and silverware), sun screen and a stick of lip balm. Elbow pads, knee pads, protective eyewear, fishing gear and a good book are also recommended.

Weather, forest fires or other unforeseen events may cause this camp to be relocated or canceled. Also, we need at least four participants to fund the camp. If we are forced to cancel our camp, you will be notified as soon as possible and refunded.

Because of the cost of credit card processing, we ask you not to sign up for this camp unless you are sure that your rider will be able and excited to participate. Refunds will be subject to a ten percent fee and refunds will not be available within five days of our camp.
