November 17th's Minimum Day Bike Trip
November 17th's Minimum Day Bike Trip
On this Minimum day ride, we will be meeting at behind meeting at Wade Thomas or Manor. From there we will take the van up to the Stafford Lake Bike Park. We’ll work on bicycle handling skills, hopefully working our way up to smaller drop offs and jumps.
If Stafford Lake Bike Park is closed because of recent rain or most of the riding features in the park are closed, we will drive to West Marin for a longer cross country mountain bike ride with a route that will be decided based on trail conditions.
This will be a long day, so please pack a lunch, some extra snacks and an extra bottle of water.
Please go over your riders bike with them and address any mechanical issues that may cause problems on the trail. Also, please help your student pack all of their cycling gear including their helmet, bike gloves, a spare tube, lots of food, plenty of water and lights. Also, I recommend a light wind beaker or rain jacket (when appropriate) that can be carried in a pocket. Light weight knee pads, elbow pads and protective eyewear are, also, recommended. For riders who are allergic to poison oak, a single use packet (or reusable small container) of Tecnu is another great thing to pack.
Thanks!

*If our weather forcast call for substantial rain and a temperature below 55 degrees, we will need to cancel and refund this adventure.
**If there had been recent rain and wet conditions have closed much of Stafford Lake Bike Park, we will switch gears and do a longer cross country ride in West Marin.
