April's Tuesday after school mountain bike rides from behind MVMS

$105.00

With longer days and warmer weather, we’re looking forwards to another great month of after school bike rides! These rides are designed to engage middle schoolers with mountain bike experience. We teach bicycle handling skills, trail etiquette and how to enjoy riding together as a group.

Before our rides, please go over your child’s bike with them and address any mechanical issues that may cause problems on the trail. Also, please help your student pack all of their cycling gear including their helmet, bike gloves, a spare tube, lots of food, plenty of water and lights. Also, I recommend a light wind beaker or rain jacket (when appropriate) that can be carried in a pocket. Light weight knee pads, elbow pads and protective eyewear are, also, recommended. For riders who are allergic to poison oak, a single use packet (or reusable small container) of Tecnu is another great thing to pack. Also, please make sure that your rider brings a mask and small bottle of hand sanitizer.

We ask any participant who has recently tested positive for Covid-19, having recently taken fever reducing medication or reporting symptoms that could come from Covid-19, to please follow our state and county Covid guidelines in planning their return to our group.

Also, all parents with mountain biking experience are welcome to join us for rides. Please contact Emile at emilemulholland@gmail.com if you would like to ride with our group.

Thanks!
